Well the immediate answer is probably "stop drinking wine and go to bed".
But I am on holidays and Chairman Stormy Jr is at day care tomorrow so it's a child free day. I am going to drop him off, go to the gym, then enjoy the day with Mrs Chairman Stormy. We've just gotten back today from a week's road trip up to Queensland and back, today was about 6 hours on the road which is a lot with a not-quite-three year old.
However the big question is more like "what am I going to do with the rest of my working life?" The answer has to be "get a better paying and more enjoyable and challenging job". So, that should be easy enough :-)
Aside from that, what do I want to do?
*Be a good father
*Play more guitar
*Write a book
*Be a good husband (by the way these are not in order!!!)
*Do a good job at work
*Get a band back together? Not necessarily a full rock band, but something playing music in public.
That's probably enough to be going on with for the moment.
Long term? Where do I want to end up?
*Happy
*Financially secure
*Known
hmm, serious self analysis. Maybe I should have another glass of wine. In Vino Veritas.

King of the Slackarses muses on The Rolling Stones
Wow, two months. Call me a fast mover.
I recently bought the re-issued version of Exile on Main Street. Re-mastered and with a bonus disc of ten unreleased tracks.
It's awesome. The remaster sounds amazing and the bonus disc is superb.
Anyway it got me thinking about getting this bloody blog active again and instead of having lots of ideas about stuff but never actually getting it down, then forgetting it, I thought it would be better to just jot stuff down. Also to stop thinking "write the perfect blog entry". It's not like anybody's reading it !
So, the fact emerged that the classic Stones albums all begin with a killer one-two punch.
Sympathy For The Devil and No Expectations
"Beggars Banquet" (1968)
Coming back from the psychedelic wastelands, and with Brian Jones almost out for the count, these tracks are Keith showing his guitar skills and the band responding, in totally different styles.
Gimme Shelter and Love In Vain
"Let It Bleed" (1969)
The most evocative album opening ever? Has to be up there. Two of their best tunes, and again it's Keith leading the way. Apocalypse followed by authentic country blues of the most beautiful kind.
Brown Sugar and Sway
"Sticky Fingers" (1970)
Now these would be my favourite two-in-a-row, and when you think that they're followed by Wild Horses, that surely has to be the best start to a Stones album.
Rocks Off and Rip This Joint
"Exile On Main Street" (1972)
Well here's another killer start. This run of amazing songs is quite something when you think about it. Every album was full of great tracks, but in the days when album sequencing was an artform, to start four albums in a row with songs of this calibre is just exceptional. I love these two songs.
the next album, 1973's "Goats Head Soup", has a killer second track, 100 Years Ago, but opening number Dancing With Mr D, while a song I really enjoy listening to, is not up there with the previous lot.
